Golden Kite Form: The Taira Heike Monogatari (Tale of the Heike) describes Emperor Sutoku appearing as a “Golden Kite,” symbolizing his transformation after exile. Demonic Appearance: In stories like those of Nachi Falls’ Zenki-bou, demons who undergo severe ascetic practices can also become Daitengu. These forms may resemble fierce ogres. Human Form: Sometimes, the Daitengu appears entirely human, blending in without any distinct supernatural features.
