Welcome to the Fantastic West! Keep your hands and arms inside the covered wagon and remember not to pet the rattlesnakes.
My favorite checkpoint to use this with is realisticVision but I've also had success with dreamshaper and deliberate. I trained it on different orientations but there were more landscape styles than portrait styles, so I recommend sticking to landscape orientation. The differences between this lora and most checkpoints becomes really striking with western towns. I've had lots of great luck with drawing old west towns. To trigger an old west town use the keywords western town
or old west town
. To trigger a landscape use western landscape
. It's somewhat versatile with the scenery so play around with different ideas. I added the trigger fantwest
to just trigger the lora in general, but I don't always have to use it to get it to influence the style.
I use this at 1.0 weight, though you may want to go up or down depending on the effect you're going for. I also have had good luck with CFG between 5 and 7, but CFG doesn't seem to really change this one much, i'm not sure why. Also, I use clip skip 1, so if you have it set to 2 for all your waifus, you might want to dial it back down to 1 for your old west scenery.
I trained this lora on a bunch of images depicting old western towns, landscapes, animals, etc. It's not particularly good at drawing animals since that isn't what it was intended for, but it's fairly easy to add them into the landscape. I added pictures of animals (horses, cows, coyotes, etc) to the training set to prevent it from training animals out out the lora, not to get high detailed animals. Please don't downrate this lora if it can't draw animals, that's not the intent of this lora. I also didn't train it on humans or cowboys, since that should be the topic of a different lora.
