我雷老虎今天就是要以德服人！以德服人！
陈松勇小的时候特别喜欢听京剧，还时不时跟着哼两声，但是他父亲觉得“戏子”这个行业，比较丢人，然后陈松勇就普普通通的长大，直到15岁时，学人做起了小混混，当时他在学校门口堵人打架要钱，时间长了，他觉得自己真的是社会大哥了，后来有一次刚抢完钱准备跑，警察来了，然后他就跑进了一个剧组，饰演了一个小角色，当时有个规定，警察不可以进剧组，陈松勇也是因为这次机会，开始接触到演戏。
和众多演员一样，出道就是演路人甲，小商贩，因为便宜还肯吃苦耐劳，逐渐开始饰演有一两句台词的日本兵，警察等角色，就这样，他演了十多年，虽然作品很多，但是被人记住的角色，却一个都没有，直到《悲情城市》开始拍摄，当时港台演艺圈还有很多帅哥型男，选角时人气最高的是梁朝伟，导演侯孝贤也十分看好梁朝伟，但剧组开机时，却是陈松勇饰演主角。。。传言说是之前陈松勇在某部戏表演的很好，台湾影视圈的一个大佬就推荐给了侯孝贤，第一句话就是，便宜。凭借《悲情城市》里精湛的演技，陈松勇获得了1989年台湾金马奖影帝，而当年和陈松勇角逐影帝的是《奇迹》男主角成龙，在颁奖台上成龙还开玩笑说“我没有拿到这个奖，但是我可以摸摸”。
2021年，陈松勇因常年酗酒导致器官衰竭去世，享年80岁。
