This LoRA was based on the work of 19th Century Dutch-Indonesian artist Jan Toorop, who created with a variety of mediums and styles including some atmospheric chalk and pencil drawings which form the training set for this model.
Toorop spent his early years on the island of Java, and later incorporated the elongated figures and lines from Javanese art into his own work.
This model focuses on a dark, moody subset of Toorop's art. Characteristics include a sepia colour scheme, roots and bare tree branches, water, and neoclassical architecture. It presents a contrast to the visually more cheerful Art Nouveau work of artists like Alfons Mucha.
Two versions of this model are available: one trained against the base SD1.5 model, and one trained against a specialised cartoon-style checkpoint. The former will work well with base SD1.5 and photorealistic checkpoints, the latter will work better for Western animation and anime style checkpoints.
