這算是我對日本印象最深的東西,打從高中去日本自由行,就愛上這隻企鵝,我甚至為了想要了解更多,到還在唐吉訶德MEAGE打工過,真的是很棒的體驗。
Donpen (Japanese: ドンペン donpen, English: Donpen) is the official mascot of the Japanese chain store Don Quijote. It is also known as "唐企鵝" (Donpen) or "Donpen-kun" in Japanese. Donpen was created by an employee at the Don Quijote branch in Suginami, Tokyo in 1998 and has since become the brand ambassador and mascot for Don Quijote. The mascot is depicted as a penguin wearing a red Christmas hat-shaped sleeping cap, with the character "ド" (meaning "Do") in red katakana on its body. The overseas branches of Don Quijote use a midnight blue penguin with a red "D" instead. Donpen is described as an "Antarctic penguin raised in Tokyo," with a birthday on September 8th, a height of 98 kilograms, and a weight of 98 centimeters. Its hobbies include shopping at Don Quijote, night outings, shallow water, fishing, and watching TikTok videos. Donpen has collaborated with cartoon characters such as Hello Kitty and Yu-Gi-Oh! for merchandise. The mascot appears not only on in-store promotional materials but also on the store's logo and signage.
