Eugenie "Genie" Bouchard (b. 1994) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She had great success in juniors, winning the 2012 Wimbledon girls' title at age 18, and followed that up with strong showings early in her pro career — being named the WTA's Newcomer of the Year in 2013 and its Most Improved Player in 2014. That year, she achieved a career-high No. 5 ranking in singles and made it to the finals of Wimbledon — the first Canadian to reach a major final. (She also reached the semifinals at Roland Garros and the Australian Open that year.)
But sadly, that would prove to be her tennis peak, as some bad coaching decisions and injuries would lead to a rapid decline. In 2023, she signed on to the Professional Pickleball Association Tour, of all things.
