So Why Another Checkpoint:

Many have wanted a bit more 2.5dish. So, I wanted to see about getting that to you all. This checkpoint will try to maintain that 2D look with a splash of 3D in there. Of course some prompts may pull out a more 3D look; while others may go full 2D....but hopefully that does not happen to often. LoRas will of course affect the look as well; but either way...I hope you all enjoy!!!

The Process:

Starting with RealCartoon3D V11(was working on a 12 at the time) I was trying to get a more 2Dish look going. I was doing this because many wanted something that was more 2.5D (The checkpoints used for merging do/did not have restrictions on checkpoint mergers or are able to have different permission when sharing merges). I also baked in the VAE (vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned). I tried ClearVAE, but it would mess up from time to time (which may have been my computer). I did not want this issue to fall to anyone that downloaded this model, so I did not use that VAE. In the process of the merges, it looks like one of the models used contained Aniverse information. This was not intentional; but as you can see the results are pretty nice. Samael1976 and I talked and decided to allow it to move forward as more of a collaboration. I hope you all enjoy!! Maybe someday we (Samael1976) and I will do a full merge of them and share. :)

The Settings:

• Width: 512 (flip width and height if doing landscape style image)

• Height: 904 (of course you can go smaller and I have done higher, but this number just looks good with the 512 width)

• Sampling Method: "DPM++ 2M Karras most of the time, but "DPM++ SDE Karra" and "Eular A" work well too. Have not really done much with the others.

• Sampling steps: 30-50 normally (30 being my starting point, but going up to 45 a lot of the time).

• Hires.fix settings: Upscaler (R-ESRGAN 4x+, 4k-UltraSharp most of the time), Hires Steps (10-20, with 20 being my normal), Denoising Str (0.34 - 0.45 normally), Upscale (1.5 or 2 does well)

• Clip Skip: 2

Would run ADetailer to help enhance the eyes/face if the subject is farther in the scene. Be careful running with many blurred subjects in background as it may target them and make the face similar to your main subject.

Some settings you an run on the A1111 web-Ui to help get the images without crashing:

This model is open access and available to all, with a CreativeML OpenRAIL-M license further specifying rights and usage.
