Nika Georgievna Golts (1925-2012) was a Soviet painter and illustrator. She was born in Moscow and spent most of her life as a citizen of the Soviet Union. Nika Golts was a talented artist who received numerous awards, including the title of "Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation." Her works often illustrated books and fairy tales, and she gained particular recognition for her illustrations of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. She also received a nomination for the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award from the Danish Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Andersen's birth.
